Located in North Vancouver, BC, Sutherland Church is a multi-generational, community church.  The heritage of the church is from the Plymouth Brethren tradition and the congregation is made up of people from a large number of denominational backgrounds.

On Sunday mornings you can expect engaging contemporary worship including choruses and hymns.  The sermons are thought provoking and geared towards helping us to live this life aware of the presence of God and the blessing of Christ in this world.

Each Sunday we have programmes for kids from nursery through pre-teen.

The four leaves in our crest mean something...

We discover who we are in Christ by

1.  Worship

The Sunday Services at Sutherland Church.  More than a particular worship "style".  More than contemporary or traditional.  We seek to worship as a church in ways that are engaging and considerate, and firstly about God, not us.

2.  Prayer and Attentiveness

We seek to be attentive to the presence of God in our world and in our lives. Sunday Sermons that are thoughtful and encouraging.  We remember that Christians are not called to anything but hope.  By prayer and attentiveness we discover the hope of the Gospel.

3.  Community

We seek to grow in community.  From demographic specific events and groups (children, youth, etc.) to Home Group Bible Studies and other special events we are blessed to share this life with one another and with people who are different than we are.

4.  Service

We can't know who we are if we are living primarily for self.  As we serve others in the church, the community and the world we discover our talents and gifts and we bless other people.

Communion (Eucharist or Breaking of Bread) takes places three times a month; twice in the regular service and once a morning breakfast.

At Sutherland we see the Communion Table as one of inclusion, not exclusion. If you know Jesus Christ, or would like to, you are welcome to receive.
